Blood Bank
The Blood Bank of International Medical College & Hospital is a government licensed blood bank established in 2000. The blood bank is located on the ground floor of the hospital building, it aims to ensuring the safe, effective and timely provision of blood and blood components to patients in need. As an essential pillar of modern health care, the department upholds the highest standards in blood collection, testing, processing, storage and transfusion practices.
We adhere to stringent national and international quality Standards, ensuring that every unit of blood is thoroughly screened for infectious diseases and compatibility tested before transfusion.
In addition to routine blood banking services (blood grouping, cross matching, screening), the Department supports advanced transfusion practices such as component Therapy (PRBC, FFP, platelet concentration, cryoprecipitate), Du Test, Therapeutic phlebotomy, coomb's test, Rh antibody Titer, Autologous Transfusion. We also engage in donor motivation programs, promoting voluntary non- remunerated blood donation and community awareness about the importance of safe blood supply.
